Open Hearts for Haiti | Sacramento Event Photography

I had a fabulous weekend. It was my birthday and my husband spoiled me. Sigh... love that man. But the highlight of our weekend had absolutely nothing to do with my birthday. I had the privilege of attending and photographing a fundraiser for our friends who are adopting a little boy from Haiti. As most people know, adoption (especially international adoption) is a very expensive process. So they organized a casino night and silent auction that allowed friends and family to come alongside them in support. Here they are with their youngest daughter addressing their guests.

And here's their circle of support. I know it was extremely special for them to be surrounded by so many people who love them and will be caring for them through the adoption process. There's a LOT of prayer power in this group!

The purpose of the evening may have been serious and noble, but the evening itself was fabulously FUN! I loved these two pictures of some friends striking it "rich" in roulette.

I also loved this poster where all the guests put their thumb prints on the tree! What a fabulous reminder of all the people who love this special couple! If you want to learn more about their adoption journey, you can visit their blog HERE.
