As many of you know, I took the month of April and May off of shooting sessions. I used the excuse that I desperately needed a break... which was completely true. But the bigger reason was that my husband was starting the process of looking for work in Oregon. I didn't feel it was ethical to commit to booking sessions with the knowledge that I may not be able to fulfill those obligations. Let me tell you... it was REALLY hard to turn people away during that time because I LOVE what I do.
Needless to say, my husband was successful in finding work... a job that he is really excited about. And I could be happier about that. So.... Images from Amy is moving to Beaverton, Oregon (a southern community that is part of the greater Portland area). Why Beaverton? Family...
These are my kids and their cousins. They live in Beaverton and are the exact same age as my kids. We are so excited that they are all going to get to grow up together. AND we'll be much closer to my own family. It really is an answered prayer.
As I close the door to my business here in Sacramento, I have to thank all my clients. I can honestly say that 99.9% of my clients have been the most AMAZING people to work with, and have become my friends. I have loved watching your children grow, and I have loved capturing those memories. It is definitely a bittersweet goodbye. Thank you for all your support... and keep your eye open for the relaunch of Images from Amy this winter in Beaverton, Oregon! I'm a little scared at the prospect of building a whole new clientele, so if anyone wants to write me a reference on your experience using me your photographer, I would be so appreciative! LOL!
At this time, I would like to refer all my clients to an amazing photographer here in Sacramento, named DeAnna Gallardo. If it wasn't for her support, I would not be the photographer I am today. She has also taken some amazing photos of my own family that I will cherish forever, including my favorite family below. Please go check out her website HERE. You can contact her through email at deegallardo@gmail.com or call her at 916.730.2164 for more information. I am privileged to call her a colleague and friend.
