Even I'm Wonderfully Made | Sacramento Glamor Photographer

Last weekend we (myself and DeAnna Gallardo Photography) had our second round of Wonderfully Made sessions.  If you missed it, these sessions are a time where women get to come, get pampered, have their hair and make-up done and get beautiful pictures of themselves.  DeAnna and I want to show women how beautifully they were created!  Everyone has had different motivations for having these pictures done.  For some women they want to bless their hubby with sexy pictures of themselves.  For some women they just want a fabulous photo of themselves.  For some women it's an opportunity to share a fun day with friends or family.

This round I decided to have some photos of myself done.  I felt like it was important to be on the other side of the camera to feel what it's like.  I also wanted to see how good I could actually look when I left it to the professionals.  Needless to say I was ASTOUNDED with the outcome.  DeAnna did an amazing job of my pictures.  Here's a "before" photo of me and a pretty good representation of what I look like pretty much every single day.  No make-up.  Bags under eyes from not getting enough sleep.  Actually... I usually look WORSE than this because my hair is usually back in a typical "Mom" messy bun with my sunglasses perched on top of my head.

And here's a sample of my "after" photos.  This is after I slept in curlers.  After Make-up by Libier transformed my face.  And after DeAnna Gallardo Photography posed me, molded me and shot her magic.

So how was this experience?  Well... it was very very eye opening to me.  It was a confirmation that women can NOT compare themselves to the images we see in magazines, because it is the professional hair, make-up, photography and Photoshop that makes the "stars" look like stars.  Also, being on the other side of the camera showed me the importance of strong direction, because it feels awkward and there's comfort in knowing that the photographer is in control.  Lastly... I've decided that after three children (two of which came at once)... this Momma still has it.  And that feels AWESOME!  My husband agrees!

When I originally commented I clicked the "Notify me when new comments are added" checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three emails with
the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me
from that service? Many thanks!
